After a long couple weeks of being offline and without a phone, I am back with a vengeance. My show has continued to grow into the monster that is Illphonics and the past couple weeks I have had some extremely talented guests stop by.

First off was Amon Iller, an artist out of Hayward with a giant Bay Area buzz. We discussed his label, his work with artists, the city of Hayward, and his debut album. Next, we had the multi-talented group Soapbox Meldoics stop by the studio. This group consists of Dirty Nate, Anya, Darbie, and Chris. They have currently have 2 major singles on the airwaves and a video for their single “Nevermind” on youtube. I had the chance to discuss their origins, their musical influences and creation process, plus their female singer Anya did a live set on the show. Next to step to the mic was Kalizay. A Cypher Squad representative and a dope emcee, Kalizay came into the studio notebook and pen in hand and began writing as soon as she stepped thru the door. She discussed her new projects and how she feels that she has been overlooked in the local rap scene. This girl is extremely talented and performed 3 songs live on air.
