Last week I had some of the best female emcees in the city of San Jose stop by my spot to showcase their talents. The result was some cool interviews, dope music, and a creative masterpiece that I like to call Illphonics: Ladies Edition. We also dropped Freestyle Friday VI. You can check all this below…
Vida Killz was the first to stop by. She has a number of projects that she’s working on including a solo album entitled “Negative Space” and an album with New Jersey producer Shape, together they are the Broken Heartbeats. This girl produces and writes all her own music, her entire style is fresh. Check out the interview below…
Next to step to the mic was Kalizay. A Cypher Squad representative and a dope emcee, Kalizay came into the studio notebook and pen in hand and began writing as soon as she stepped thru the door. She discussed her new projects and how she feels that she has been overlooked in the local rap scene. This girl is extremely talented and performed 3 songs live on air. You can peep the interview here…
Last to arrive was Kash with the K. This girl is raw on the mic and a straight lyricist. Stepping to the mic with overload of swag, Kash discussed her new solo projects with producer Mercenary and premiered her new single “Twisted.” You can peep the interview below…
