Super DJ and Producers K-Salaam & Beatnik have recently put out a mixtape showcasing the talents of the late great Michael Jackson. With all the mixtapes and tributes coming out concerning MJ some may pass at another attempt to mix it up with the gloved one. But this mixtape is slightly different, in addition to Michael Jackson, K-Salaam & Beatnik have taken it a step further and dropped remixes to tracks by Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder as well. Mos Def hit the streets of downtown San Jose hard on October 27th 2009. Live from the Voodoo Lounge, Mos Def performed hits off his latest album “The Ecstatic” and gave the audience a sneak peak at his upcoming projects. The Fresh Air Tour hit the Bay Area this weekend bringing the Rhymesayers label’s best to Northern California.

I had the chance to catch the tour on October 18th 2009 at The Avalon in Santa Clara.

The lineup featured BK-One, Toki Wright, Evidence, and Brother Ali.
