01/05/08 : The Game Not Retiring, Balance On Detox

Prior to The Game’s 2008 release “L.A.X.” the rapper proclaimed it would be his last album. No one paid attention to his silly retirement talk and the album “L.A.X.” spurred a hot single in “My Life” featuring Lil Wayne but the albums buzzed fizzled quickly. Now following in the footsteps of Too Short, Jay-Z, and Master P, The Game is set to return in 2009 with a new album entitled “Global Warming”. This album will be entirely produced by Miami producing duo Cool & Dre.

Makes sense since Cool & Dre produced most of his best songs aside from Dr. Dre. Too bad Dr. Dre has given him the cold shoulder since The Game took Jimmy Henchman’s advice and bit the hand that fed him.

The Aftermath camp has moved on without him and Bishop Lamont is ready to take over the West with his album new album “The Impossible Possible” in addition to the great anticipation of Dr. Dre’s “Detox”. Catching up with Bishop Lamont we learned that the Bay Area may have some involvement in Dr. Dre’s “Detox” album when he mentioned rapper Balance’s name in the list of emcees who have blessed the studio for 2009’s “Detox”.

Watch Bishop Lamont discuss “Detox”, Balance’s involvement, and refer to The Game as “baby girl” here…

Maybe Dr. Dre isn’t afraid of the Bay Area after all. The line up for “Detox” is insane, the question is will all those emcees make the final cut? I doubt it. Look out for Bishop Lamont’s “The Impossible Possible” and Dr. Dre’s “Detox” albums in 2009.

In the meantime, check out Bishop Lamont’s diss to The Game “Missile Testing” here..
